About Dr. Schuessler tissue salts

Can Dr. Schüssler Salts be taken alongside other medication?

Yes. There is no evidence against taking Dr. Schüssler Salts together with other medication that have been prescribed by a physician or alternative practitioner. If you currently take other medicine, please ask your therapist for advice. Following other healing methods simultaneously will not impair the effectiveness of biochemical treatment.

Are there any side-effects?

So far no side effects have been reported.

Where can I get Dr. Schüssler Salts?

As Dr. Schüssler Salts are classified as medicinal products, they are available without prescription in pharmacies.

Can I give Tissue Salts to my pets or any animals?

Yes, all the Schuessler Tissue Salts can be given to pets. The Tissue Salts can be crushed and added to the pet’s food or simply add 2 sprays to the pet’s water a few times per day making sure to change the water each time.

How to take Schussler tissue salts?

How to take the salts?

The tablets are put into the mouth, under the tongue where they slowly dissolve. This allows the active ingredients to be completely absorbed by the mucous membranes of the mouth.

The usual dose is 1 tablet 3 – 6 times a day.

What can happen in case of an overdose?

As the tablets contain lactose an overdose that is 100 or more tablets taken within one day can have a laxative effect. For more information please ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Can’t I simply eat healthy foods and not rely on Dr. Schüssler Salts?

As Dr. Schüssler himself noted, even with a well-balanced diet, the body sometimes is not able to absorb the minerals from food. Dr. Schüssler Salts are able to make the cells in your body susceptible again and to restore the mineral balance.

Does coffee have an effect on Dr. Schüssler Salts?

The effectiveness of the salts is not influenced if you are drinking coffee in usual amounts. The same principle applies to all other stimulants (e.g. alcohol, nicotine).

What is the best time of the day to take Tissue Salts?

Tissue salts can be taken at any time of the day or night; however it is best to take them in a clean mouth, thirty minutes away from food, drinks and toothpaste.

Can pregnant women take Tissue Salts?

Yes, Tissue Salts can be taken prior to, during and after pregnancy as well as during breastfeeding.

Can I give the Tissue Salts to my baby and children?

Yes, however a range has been specially formulated for children. We would suggest that children between 0 – 2 take special combinations e.g. seen at MAMA-NATURA website. The Tissue salts creams are also wonderful to apply to babies skin, as the minerals can be absorbed this way.
